Aftermath of the Edfu church attack

Arab-West Report visited the scene and found out that destruction was more or less restricted to the church. The Christians were a tiny minority in the village and some Muslims openly stated that they felt that they did not need to have a church and that they wanted their village to remain exclusively Muslim in character.

Copts argued that they could prove that the church und the new construction work were licensed, the church was in fact many years old.
